£2.2m Dancor Transformation of Roman London

An historic corner of London will soon be home to a new high specification boutique hotel created by the Dancor Group.

We are working with Project Management firm Bradbrook in the City of London on the creation of the 7 storey 98 bed Ampersand Hotel with two basement levels, just a few metres away from the 16th century church of St James Garlickhythe in the traditional Roman city area.

Dancor Facades division will be installing external cladding, curtain walling and glazing, while Dancor Acoustics provides Metsec SFS, partitioning, drylining and suspended ceilings for the impressive project worth in excess of £2.2m.

Dominic Goodale, Managing Director, Dancor Group: “Bringing together the various skills in the divisions of the Dancor Group, we are able to offer a package that helps to deliver the project goals to specification on-time. We are no stranger to working in this part of central London which offers its own unique challenges and complexities.”

The new building will retain a portion of the existing buildings facade, includes extensive archaeological excavations and provides challenging central London access by being surrounded by two 7.5 tonne weight limited roads.
