Dancor ‘Rydes’ the Waves to more island projects

The flagship new build academy school on the Isle of Wight is the latest contract win in 2017 for Dancor Acoustics.

Following our track record of delivering best in-class school projects on the island, we will be working on the new £25m Ryde Academy, installing partitioning and suspended ceilings in new two and three storey blocks in a contract worth £1.2m.

Attended by over 1,500 students, the school is the first of four projects for Sir Robert McAlpine as part of the £4.4 billion Priority School Building Programme.

Dominic Goodale, Managing Director, Dancor Group, comments: “Educational projects have been at the core of our work for a decade, and we understand the sensitivity of working in a live school environment. Dancor and the Isle of Wight are closely linked through more than a decade of successful delivery, and we’re excited to bring our expertise to another local project.”

The school is being built on the existing campus next door to the present school buildings, which will form a new car park and all-weather sports pitches.
